1. Who We Are
SENDA LLC (“we,” “our,” “Senda”) is a limited liability company organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, with mailing address at:

Senda LLC is responsible for the mobile application transPRte (the “App”), a public transit planner for Puerto Rico that covers AMA, Tren Urbano, AcuaExpreso, and 23 municipal bus systems. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the App, how we use it, with whom we share it, and what rights you have over it.

Non-Affiliation Notice
transPRte is an independent application developed by SENDA LLC. It is not affiliated with, associated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Metropolitan Bus Authority (AMA), the Integrated Transit Authority (ATI), AcuaExpreso, Tren Urbano, or any municipality or public transit agency of Puerto Rico. The route, stop, and schedule data displayed in the App is obtained from the public GTFS feeds published by each operator.
2. Summary at a Glance
So this policy doesn't require a lawyer to understand, these are the most important points:
- You can use the App without creating an account. Signing in is only needed if you want to save destinations or favorite stops and sync them between devices.
- We collect only what's necessary for the App to function: your location (when you grant permission) to show you the map and plan trips from where you are; the destinations and stops you choose to save; and the status of your “Remove Ads” purchase.
- We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers, and we never will.
- We do show an occasional ad when you open the App, served by Google AdMob. If you'd rather not see them, you can purchase “Remove Ads” for $0.99 (one-time payment).
- Your data lives in Supabase (our database provider) on servers located in the United States. The United States and Puerto Rico share the same federal data-protection legal framework.
- You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time, directly in the app — open About transPRte → Delete Account; deletion is immediate and irreversible. You can also request it by emailing legal@sendapr.com.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information you give us directly
- Account data (if you choose to create one): your name, email address, and profile photo (if you sign in with Apple or Google and your account has a public photo). We do not receive or store your password.
- Favorite destinations and stops: places and transit stops that you choose to mark with the heart icon.
- Support messages: if you write to us, we store the subject and body of your message so we can respond.
3.2 Information collected automatically
- Location: when you grant location permission, we access the precise location of your device to show your location on the map and auto-fill the origin point when planning a trip. We do not retain a history of your location; the coordinates are only used during the active session.
- Advertising identifiers: if you have not purchased “Remove Ads,” the Google AdMob SDK collects your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android), your IP address, and ad-interaction events. Where permitted, we show personalized ads by default. On iOS, personalization is only activated if you grant explicit permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline, you will see non-personalized ads. On Android, you can disable personalization at any time in your device's ad settings.
- Diagnostic and crash information: the App uses Firebase Crashlytics (Google) and Sentry for crash reporting and stability monitoring. When the App hits an error or crashes, these services receive crash logs, your device model, OS version, technical installation identifiers, and your IP address, to help us diagnose and fix the problem. If you use the in-app “Report a problem” form, the name and email you optionally enter — together with your device details and a short trail of your recent in-app actions (“breadcrumbs”) — are sent to Sentry so we can respond and reproduce the issue. We do not use this information for advertising purposes.
3.3 Information generated by your use
- Trip planning queries: when you plan a trip, the origin and destination coordinates are sent to our routing services (described in Section 5) only during that request. We do not retain individual queries.
- Purchase status: if you purchase “Remove Ads” ($0.99), we store a “purchase made” indicator to disable the ads. Payment processing is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play; we do not store credit card information.
3.4 Information we do NOT collect
- We do not access your contacts, calendar, messages, or personal files.
- We do not access the microphone or camera.
- We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
- We do not use your information to train artificial intelligence models.
- We do not collect financial information, medical information, or other sensitive categories.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected solely for the following purposes:
- To operate the App: show you the map, stops, scheduled arrivals, and plan your trips.
- To authenticate you and sync your data between devices when you sign in.
- To process your purchases and maintain a record of the status of your “Remove Ads” purchase.
- To show advertising in the free version of the App, through Google AdMob.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations (responding to subpoenas, requests from the Government of Puerto Rico, etc.).
We do not use your information to train artificial intelligence models, nor to create advertising profiles beyond what the AdMob SDK needs to serve an ad.
5. Whom We Share Your Information With
transPRte relies on a small number of service providers to operate. Each one receives only the minimum information necessary to perform its function.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, nor do we share it with any data broker for commercial purposes unrelated to operating the App.
We may share information if required by a court order, valid subpoena, or legitimate government request, and whenever we are legally obligated to do so.
6. Your Rights
As a Puerto Rico resident, and depending on your jurisdiction, you have the following rights over your personal information:
- Access: you can request a copy of the data we have about you.
- Correction: you can correct inaccurate information directly in the App or ask us to do so.
- Deletion: you can request that we delete all of your information. Some exceptions apply (e.g., records we are legally required to retain).
- Portability: you can request your data in an exportable format.
- Opposition to personalized advertising: you can disable personalization in your device settings (Apple ATT on iOS, “Reset advertising ID” on Android), or remove ads entirely by purchasing “Remove Ads.”
- Withdrawal of consent: you can close your account at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at legal@sendapr.com. We will respond within a reasonable time frame (generally between 7 and 30 days).
7. Security
We protect your information with industry-standard practices:
- All data is transmitted encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+).
- Data at rest is stored with AES-256 encryption on Supabase servers.
- Access to data is restricted by strict security rules (Row-Level Security): each user can only read and write their own information.
- Authentication happens via OAuth (Apple, Google); we never see or store your password.
- API keys and critical secrets are stored in secure environment variables, outside the source code.
No system is 100% secure. If you discover a vulnerability, write to us at legal@sendapr.com and we will fix it as soon as possible.
8. Data Retention
We retain your information while your account is active, and for a reasonable additional period necessary to:
- Comply with legal and tax obligations (generally 5 years under Puerto Rico law for accounting and tax records).
- Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
Trip planning queries are not retained beyond the duration of the request.
If you close your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except for data we are legally required to retain. Account deletions performed in the app take effect immediately; deletions requested by email are completed within 30 days.
9. Children
transPRte is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If we discover that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, in applicable law, or in the services we offer.
When we make significant changes:
- We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this Policy.
- We will notify you through the App or by email (if you have an account with a registered email) before the change takes effect.
We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
